If you are expecting 5* facilities then here is not for you. However if you want pleasant clean good sized rooms, Friendly staff and good food this is the place. I spent 5 weeks at the resort convalescing. I found it to be a brilliant place to just chill out and relax. The resort, as described, is split into three sections, 1, Beach, where the reception, restaurant, bar, and typically rustic local style accommodation is situated on the beach front. 2, Garden, set about 100m back from the beach with solidly built accommodation on 2 levels. This pleasant setting is where the SPA bath is situated. 3. Villa, Set about 500m from the reception area with direct access to the beach. I was accommodated in the garden section. My room was airy clean and comfortable with air conditioning, fan and hot shower. The menu in the restaurant was varied with daily specials supplementing the standard. The food was good quality, well prepared and presented Be aware however that the resort changed its name recently so all the locals, including tricycle drivers still know it as Amami!

Michael

I like almost everything about Amami - the place itself with the sight of nipa huts & hammock & the sandy ground where my son enjoyed playing at; the peaceful and quiet location in talipanan & fronting the beach and the superb customer service, they are very attentive to guest's needs. Although we didn't get to try the food from the restaurant (rice only because we have some packed meals with us on our first day; they ran out of dough for the pizza during dinner time and we prefer cooking our food as we were staying at the garden green house with kitchen which is some few meters away), they offered us water to drink and a nice place to hang out for a while while waiting to check in. The place is secured with fence ang gates and has curfew hours.

I prefer to stay at amami bcoz of the beach front but they don’t have aircon just only 1 electric fan per room and the room good for 3 to 4 pax each it’s so hot its ok if the electric fan is heavy duty or industrial but it’s not the location and the view are great but when it’s nighttime it’s so hard to sleep.

Nito

You could not find more genuinely warm mannered staff. Takes your breath away. My room was massive and spotless. Breakfast omlet and banana pancakes were soooo good ! I extended !!

Nikolai

The location is great, clean beach, lovely snorkeling, and the food at the hotel is nice but also the local food on the streets is great.
